Obverse description Radiate and laureate bust of Trajan Decius facing right, draped and cuirassed, with four pellets arranged below the neck truncation serving as a die-control or officina mark. The emperor's effigy is rendered in the provincial Syrian style characteristic of the Antiochene mint, with the legend disposed in two arcs encircling the bust. The portrait conveys authoritative imperial gravitas consistent with official Roman coinage of the mid-third century.
