The predatory scene is rendered with vigorous naturalistic detail characteristic of Akanthian coinage. In the exergue, the magistrate's name ΘΕΡΣΑΣ (Thersas) is inscribed in Greek characters, identifying the issuing authority responsible for this emission. |
