| Obverse description | Laureate head of Apollo facing right, rendered in fine late Classical style with youthful idealized features, a straight nose, and slightly parted lips. The god's long wavy hair flows loosely behind and beneath the laurel wreath, with individual locks rendered in high relief. The portrait fills the flan with confident artistry, characteristic of the skilled engravers employed by the Chalkidean League at Olynthos. The field is plain, with no legend on this side. |
