Obverse description Draped bust of Persephone (or Kore) facing left, wearing a stephane adorned with grain ears and a pendant earring, her long hair flowing freely down her neck. The legend ΣΩΤΕΙΡΑ (Saviour) is inscribed in Greek characters in the right field, identifying the deity as a protective figure. The portrait is rendered in fine relief with naturalistic detail characteristic of fourth-century Mysian engraving.
