| Obverse description | Diademed portrait bust of Seleukos IV Philopator facing right, rendered in the Hellenistic royal tradition with finely engraved curling hair and a diadem tied at the nape of the neck with flowing ends visible behind the head. The effigy is depicted bare-necked with idealized yet individualized facial features, including a prominent brow, well-defined nose, and slightly parted lips. The portrait fills the flan boldly, occupying most of the obverse field, reflecting the high-relief hammered style characteristic of Seleucid tetradrachm coinage from the Antioch mint. |

| Reverse description | Apollo, nude, seated to the left upon an omphalos, his right hand extended and holding two arrows, his left arm resting upon a grounded bow. The god is rendered in the classical Hellenistic style associated with Seleucid dynastic imagery. To the outer left, a filleted palm branch appears above a wreath. The reverse field is flanked by the royal legend in two lines, and a monogram appears in the exergue below the ground line. |
