Obverse description Diademed head of Seleukos IV Philopator facing right, rendered in the Hellenistic portrait tradition with finely detailed curling hair and a royal diadem tied at the back. The effigy displays strong, idealized facial features characteristic of late Seleucid portraiture, with a prominent nose and well-defined jaw. The coin's irregular flan is bordered by a fine dotted border partially visible around the periphery.

Reverse description Apollo seated left upon the sacred omphalos, his nude figure depicted in a relaxed yet dignified posture. He rests one hand upon a grounded bow while raising the other to test an arrow, in the classic Seleucid numismatic convention for this deity. A branch appears in the outer left field, a monogram occupies the inner left field, and the letters I A are placed below the throne. The standard Seleucid Greek legend ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΣΕΛΕΥΚΟΥ flanks the figure.
