| Obverse description | Diademed and draped bust of Seleukos II Kallinikos facing right, wearing a royal diadem with flowing ends visible behind the neck, rendered in the Hellenistic portrait tradition with finely modelled hair swept back in layered locks. The effigy displays youthful facial features characteristic of early Seleucid portraiture. The field is plain and the coin is bordered by a partial dotted bead-and-reel or beaded border visible along the left periphery. The portrait occupies the majority of the flan, conforming to the broad, full-face hammered style typical of the Sardes mint workshop. |

| Reverse description | Apollo Delphios standing facing left in a nude, contrapposto pose, his weight resting on a tall tripod-omphalos at his right side, which he touches with his right hand; in his left hand he holds a long arrow or bow. The figure is rendered in a classical Hellenistic style consistent with the Seleucid dynastic type. The Greek royal legend ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ to the right and ΣΕΛΕΥΚΟΥ to the left flanks the central figure vertically. Control marks, including what appear to be a monogram and the letter A, are visible in the lower left field. |
