| Obverse description | Youthful male head in right profile, identified as Herakles, wearing the Nemean lion skin headdress with the scalp drawn over the crown and the forepaws knotted at the throat. The facial features are rendered in fine Hellenistic style with strong, idealized proportions. The lion's mane falls in deeply engraved strands framing the face, and the beast's open muzzle and fangs are visible above the hero's brow. The flan is broad and well-struck, with the portrait filling the obverse field with commanding presence. |

| Reverse description | Zeus Aëtophoros enthroned to left on a high-backed throne, his body draped from the waist, holding in his extended right hand a Nike who faces right and raises a wreath to crown him, while his left hand rests upon a long scepter. An eagle stands on the outstretched scepter tip. To the left field, a monogram appears, and below the throne the Greek letters ΚΡ serve as a control mark. The ethnic legend ΣΕΛΕΥΚΟΥ ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ is inscribed in Greek characters around the reverse field, identifying the issuing authority as King Seleukos. |
