| Obverse description | Head of the youthful, beardless Herakles facing right, his curly hair rendered in fine detail, enveloped in the scalp of the Nemean lion, with the open jaws visible atop the head and the forepaws knotted at the neck. The portrait follows the idealised Lysippan type associated with Alexander III, with finely modelled facial features and a strong profile. The field is plain, with no legend. |

| Reverse description | Zeus Aëtophoros enthroned left on a backless throne, his upper body nude, a himation draped over his lap and legs. He extends his right hand forward, upon which a small eagle stands with closed wings, and holds a long vertical sceptre in his left hand. In the left field, a crescent surmounts a monogram; a second control monogram appears beneath the throne. The Greek legend ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ runs along the right and lower fields. |
