| Obverse description | Draped bust of Empress Cornelia Salonina facing right, her hair elaborately waved and bound with a stephane, rendered in the provincial Alexandrian style. The effigy displays fine detail in the coiffure, with horizontal ridged bands arranged across the crown. The Greek imperial legend encircles the portrait, reading from the left field around the upper periphery and into the right field. |
