Obverse description Facing left, the wreathed head of the goddess Tanit rendered in fine Sicilian-influenced style, her hair bound with a wreath of reeds and falling in loose locks behind the neck. She wears a triple-pendant earring and a pearl necklace, the facial features exhibiting the graceful naturalism characteristic of late Classical Greek workmanship. Four dolphins are disposed symmetrically around the central effigy in the field, referencing Carthaginian maritime dominance.

Reverse description A spirited horse prancing to left, rendered with vigorous musculature and raised forelegs, positioned above a ground line. Immediately behind the horse rises a tall date palm tree, its trunk detailed with a scale-like pattern and its fronds spreading broadly across the upper field, a quintessential emblem of Carthaginian civic and religious identity. The composition is bold and well-centred, executed in high relief consistent with Punic coinage of the late 4th century BC.
