| Reverse description | A powerful eagle stands in left profile, wings closed, perched upon a thunderbolt rendered in fine detail with zigzag tips extending to either side beneath the bird's talons. The eagle's plumage is meticulously engraved with layered feathering across the breast and wing coverts, and the head is turned slightly forward in the characteristic Ptolemaic reverse type. To the left field, the regnal date rendered as 'LAB' (year 32) appears, with the control mark 'ΠA' in the right field. The circular Greek legend 'ΠTOΛEMAIOY BAΣIΛEΩΣ' runs around the periphery, identifying the issuing king. |
