Reverse description A large winged thunderbolt occupies the center of the field, its shaft flanked by two spread wings issuing from a central orb, rendered in fine relief with detailed feathering. Two six-pointed stars are positioned symmetrically in the upper field, one to each side of the thunderbolt. In the lower left field, a monogram appears beneath the left wing, and to the lower right a spearhead is depicted. The circular legend ΠΤΟΛΕΜΑΙΟΥ ΕΠΙΦΑΝΟΥΣ runs along the periphery, reading 'of Ptolemy Epiphanes.'
