Obverse description Radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Probus facing right, rendered in the provincial Alexandrian style with bold, somewhat crude workmanship typical of late 3rd-century Egyptian coinage. The obverse legend reads A K M AYP ΠPOBOC CEB (Αυτοκράτωρ Καίσαρ Μάρκου Αυρήλιου Πρόβος Σεβαστός), distributed around the field. The portrait displays a short beard and strong facial features, consistent with known iconography of Probus on Alexandrian tetradrachms. The beaded border surrounds the entire design.
