| Obverse description | Griffin seated to left in profile, with elaborately rendered fan-shaped wings spread upward, right forepaw raised in a characteristic heraldic pose; the body is rendered with fine archaic-style musculature. In the lower left field, a bull's head faces right, serving as a magistrate's symbol or control mark. The coin's border is defined by a beaded dotted rim, characteristic of early Thracian silver coinage. |
