| Obverse description | Laureate head of Apollo facing right, rendered in the refined early Classical style characteristic of the Chalkidean League coinage. The youthful, idealized effigy displays finely modeled facial features with a soft, slightly parted lip and a delicate aquiline nose. A laurel wreath crowns the god's wavy hair, which falls in thick curling locks behind the ear and along the neck. The field is plain, with no legend or inscription, the portrait filling the flan with considerable artistic mastery. |

| Reverse description | A kithara (lyre) with seven strings shown in full face, rendered in fine detail with ornamental side-arms, a crossbar, and a plectrum suspended at the right. The instrument occupies the central field, set within a linear square border. The ethnic legend ΧΑΛΚΙΔΕΩΝ runs around the outer periphery, while the magistrate's name ΕΠΙ ΠΟΛΥΞΕΝΟΣ appears in small letters above the lyre's crossbar within the inner field, identifying this issue to the magistracy of Polyxenos. |
