Reverse description Eagle standing left on a palm branch, its head turned to the left with a wreath held in the beak, wings spread, and tail feathers extending to the right. The composition is a hallmark of Antiochene provincial coinage under the Severan and subsequent dynasties. The Greek legend ΔHMAΡX EΞOYCIAC, denoting the emperor's tribunician power, appears in the field. The exergue bears the letters SC (Senatus Consulto or a local mint control mark), a standard feature of Syrian tetradrachms of this period.
