Obverse description Youthful male head in right profile, wearing a laureate wreath with pronounced berry clusters, the hair rendered in thick, flowing locks falling behind the neck. The facial features are boldly modelled in the Ionian style, with a well-defined brow, almond-shaped eye, and slightly parted lips. The neck is draped with what appears to be a lion-skin pelt, consistent with representations of Herakles on Erythraian coinage of this period. The flan is broad and slightly irregular, characteristic of hammered Ionian silver of the fourth century BC.
