| Obverse description | Celticised laureate head of Apollo facing right, rendered in a distinctly barbarian artistic style derived from the Macedonian prototype of Patraos. The hair is depicted in flowing, stylised waves with the laurel wreath reduced to schematic pellets and curved lines. The facial features are boldly modelled with a prominent eye rendered as a raised pellet, a strong jaw, and a simplified ear. The bust is truncated at the neck, enclosed within a beaded border. |
