| Obverse description | Laureate and cuirassed bust of Emperor Numerianus facing right, depicted in the late Roman provincial style characteristic of Alexandrian coinage. The effigy is rendered in low relief with a broad neck and simplified drapery over the shoulder. The surrounding Greek legend reads A K M A NOVMEΡIANOC CEB, identifying the emperor with his imperial titles. The flan is irregular and slightly scyphate in profile, consistent with late third-century Alexandrian tetradrachm production. |

| Reverse description | The reverse, heavily worn and encrusted, depicts what appears to be a standing figure — consistent with Alexandrian tetradrachms of Numerianus bearing the type of Elpis (Hope) or a similar deity advancing left. The field carries fragmentary legend elements, with the regnal year denoted by LΓ (Year 3) prominently placed. The overall style reflects the debased potin fabric and schematic engraving typical of the final phase of Alexandrian tetradrachm coinage under the joint reign of Carinus and Numerianus. |
