Obverse description Bare-headed, draped bust of Emperor Nero facing right, rendered in the Hellenistic portrait tradition with characteristic fleshy features, thick neck, and elaborately coiffed hair arranged in layered curls across the forehead and crown. The bust is set within a beaded border, with the Greek legend ΝΕΡΩΝ ΚΑΙΣΑΡ ΣΕΒΑΣΤΟΣ (Nero Caesar Augustus) disposed around the periphery. The portrait displays the youthful idealization typical of early Neronian coinage from the Antioch mint, combining Roman imperial iconography with Syrian artistic conventions.
