| Obverse description | Diademed head of Mithradates VI Eupator facing right, rendered in the idealized Hellenistic portrait style reminiscent of Alexander the Great. The effigy displays youthful, idealized features with flowing, tousled hair swept back from the forehead and falling in loose curls behind the neck. A plain diadem binds the hair, its ties visible at the back of the head. The portrait is executed in high relief with fine, naturalistic detail characteristic of late Hellenistic royal coinage. The field is smooth and unlettered. |
