| Reverse description | Pegasus grazing left, the winged horse depicted in a naturalistic stance with head lowered to the ground and wings partially furled. In the left field, the distinctive Pontic royal badge of a star-in-crescent appears prominently. To the right, the regnal year BIΣ (212) is inscribed above a monogram, and the month letter E appears in the exergue. The entire design is enclosed within a Dionysiac wreath composed of ivy leaves and fruit clusters, a hallmark of the Mithradatic tetradrachm series. The reverse carries the legend BAΣIΛEΩΣ MIΘPAΔATOY EYΠATOPOΣ distributed in the fields. |
