| Obverse description | Bare-headed, diademed bust of Mithridates IV facing left, wearing a tiara adorned with a dotted band. The hair is rendered in distinctive globular curls falling in rows behind the ear and along the neck, and the beard is similarly depicted in rounded pellets — a characteristic Parthian artistic convention. The king wears a torque and a draped garment visible at the shoulder. The portrait is executed in a bold, high-relief Hellenistic style typical of Parthian royal coinage of this period. |
