| Obverse description | Facing right, the helmeted head of Athena is rendered in the late New Style Athenian manner, displaying finely engraved hair flowing in loose waves beneath the open-faced Attic helmet, whose bowl is adorned with elaborate floral and scroll decoration on the cheekpiece. The goddess's facial features are classically idealized, with a straight profile, almond-shaped eye, and softly modeled chin. A dotted border encircles the design within the coin's broad, flat field. |
