| Obverse description | Facing right, the helmeted head of Athena is rendered in the late New Style Athenian manner, displaying finely engraved hair flowing in loose waves beneath the open-faced Attic helmet, whose bowl is adorned with elaborate floral and scroll decoration on the cheekpiece. The goddess's facial features are classically idealized, with a straight profile, almond-shaped eye, and softly modeled chin. A dotted border encircles the design within the coin's broad, flat field. |

| Reverse description | An owl, the sacred symbol of Athena, stands facing right with head turned to face the viewer, perched atop an amphora decorated with the letter A; below the amphora appears the control mark AΠ. To the left of the central device, Asklepios stands facing left, draped, holding a serpent-entwined staff (caduceus). The names of the magistrates Menedemos, Epigenes, and Theophrastos are inscribed across the field in Greek characters. The entire composition is enclosed within an olive wreath, the traditional frame of Athenian New Style tetradrachms. |
