| Obverse description | Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Macrinus facing right, rendered in the provincial Syrian style with finely engraved curling hair and a short beard. The emperor's paludamentum is visible over the left shoulder, and the cuirass is indicated at the truncation. The encircling Greek legend runs around the periphery of the obverse field. |
