Obverse description Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Macrinus facing right, rendered in the provincial Syrian style with finely engraved curling hair and a short beard. The emperor's paludamentum is visible over the left shoulder, and the cuirass is indicated at the truncation. The encircling Greek legend runs around the periphery of the obverse field.

Reverse description Eagle standing facing on the leg and thigh of a large animal, with head turned to the right and a wreath held in its beak, wings spread in the characteristic Antiochene provincial style. The letters Δ and Ε appear in the upper field to either side of the eagle's body, serving as tribunician power numerals. The encircling Greek legend referencing tribunician power and consulship surrounds the design.
