| Obverse description | Diademed head of the deified Alexander III to right, portrayed with the ram's horn of Ammon curling forward above the ear, asserting his divine status as son of Zeus-Ammon. The effigy displays finely rendered flowing locks of hair radiating from the crown and falling about the neck, executed in the idealized Hellenistic portrait tradition. A diadem is tied around the head, its ends visible behind the neck. The portrait is set within a beaded border, filling the field with remarkable sculptural relief characteristic of the finest Lysimachean coinage. |

| Reverse description | Athena Nikephoros seated in three-quarter pose to left upon a throne, clad in chiton and peplos, holding in her extended right hand a winged Nike who crowns the royal legend above. Athena's left arm rests upon a large round shield decorated with a lion's head boss, while a transverse spear leans behind her. In the inner left field, a monogram appears as a mint control mark. The reverse legend ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΛΥΣΙΜΑΧΟΥ, meaning 'of King Lysimachus,' is inscribed in two lines flanking the enthroned figure, all within a beaded border. |
