| Reverse description | Athena Nikephoros seated left on a throne, her right hand extended forward holding a small winged Nike who crowns the royal name in the legend; her left arm rests upon a large round shield decorated with a lion's head boss. A long spear is placed transversely behind the throne. The legend ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΛΥΣΙΜΑΧΟΥ runs around the upper and right fields, identifying the issuer as King Lysimachus. Monograms appear in the outer left field and in the exergue, serving as mint and magistrate control marks. |
