Obverse description Diademed head of the deified Alexander the Great facing right, depicted with the ram's horn of Ammon curling behind his ear, his hair rendered in thick, flowing locks characteristic of the Lysimachean portrait type. The effigy fills the flan with a bold, high-relief sculptural style, with no legend or border visible. The portrait conveys divine authority through the combination of royal diadem and divine attribute.
