| Obverse description | Diademed head of the deified Alexander III (the Great) in right profile, rendered with characteristically flowing, windswept hair in the Lysimachean style. The effigy bears the small horn of Ammon curling from behind the ear, denoting divine association with the Egyptian deity. The portrait displays fine high-relief engraving with naturalistic facial features, a dotted border encircling the field at the coin's rim. No legend appears on the obverse, the image of the deified conqueror serving as the sole identifying device. |

| Reverse description | Athena Nikephoros seated left upon a throne, her left arm resting on a large round shield decorated with a gorgoneion, while a transverse spear rises diagonally in the background field behind her. The goddess holds a small Nike figure in her extended right hand, symbolising victory. A chelys (lyre) appears to the inner left field as a mint control symbol, and the letter M is placed in the exergue. The royal legend ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΛΥΣΙΜΑΧΟΥ ('of King Lysimachus') runs in two lines flanking the seated figure, inscribed in crisp Greek characters. |
