Reverse description Athena Nikephoros seated left upon a throne, clad in a peplos and aegis, extending her right hand to present a Nike—who crowns the royal name—while resting her left arm upon a large round shield adorned with a lion's head boss. A transverse spear leans against her left shoulder in the field behind. The legend ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΛΥΣΙΜΑΧΟΥ ('of King Lysimachus') is distributed in two lines flanking the enthroned figure. A maeander (key-pattern) border decorates the exergue, and the entire design is enclosed within a beaded border.
