| Obverse description | Diademed head of the deified Alexander III (the Great) facing right, rendered in high relief with finely detailed curling hair swept back from the forehead. A distinctive curved horn of Ammon emerges just above the ear, asserting Alexander's divine association with the Egyptian deity Zeus-Ammon. The portrait is enclosed within a plain linear border and displays the idealized Hellenistic style characteristic of Lysimachan coinage. No legend appears on the obverse. |
