Obverse description Diademed head of the deified Alexander the Great facing right, depicted in high relief with exceptionally fine artistic execution. The effigy features luxuriantly rendered curling hair framing the face, surmounted by a royal diadem, with the distinctive horn of Ammon curving from behind the right ear — an iconographic attribute asserting Alexander's divine status as son of Zeus-Ammon. The portrait exhibits the characteristic idealised Hellenistic style, with strong facial features, a prominent nose, and slightly parted lips. The entire design is set within a plain border, with the flan showing the irregular edges typical of hand-struck Hellenistic coinage.
