Obverse description Diademed head of the deified Alexander the Great facing right, rendered in fine Hellenistic style with idealized features and flowing, deeply engraved hair. The royal diadem encircles the head, above which rises the distinguishing curving horn of Ammon, asserting Alexander's divine status as son of Zeus-Ammon. The portrait fills the field with commanding presence, the facial profile exhibiting a strong brow, straight nose, and slightly parted lips characteristic of the Lysimachean coinage tradition. The flan is broad and well-struck, with the portrait positioned centrally within the coin's field.
