| Obverse description | Diademed head of the deified Alexander the Great facing right, rendered in the idealized Hellenistic portrait tradition with finely engraved flowing hair swept upward. A small curling horn of Ammon emerges from the hairline above the temple, signifying Alexander's divine association with Zeus-Ammon. The fleshy, youthful facial features are modeled in high relief, with a slightly parted mouth and prominent brow characteristic of the Lysimachean portrait type. The diadem is tied at the back with loose ribbon ends visible behind the neck, and the truncation of the neck is smooth and unadorned. |

Her left arm rests upon a large round shield decorated with a lion's head boss, while a spear leans against her left shoulder. The throne features a monogram of HP visible on the seat rail. The Greek legend ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΛΥΣΙΜΑΧΟΥ ('of King Lysimachus') is arranged in two lines flanking the goddess, and a club appears in the exergue as a mint control mark. |
