Reverse description Athena Nikephoros seated left on a throne, clad in chiton, himation, and crested Attic helmet, her left arm resting on a large round shield decorated with a lion's head gorgoneion, her right hand extending to receive a small Nike who proffers a wreath. A long spear rests diagonally behind her. The divided royal legend ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ to the right and ΛΥΣΙΜΑΧΟΥ to the left flanks the central figure in vertical arrangement. A monogram or control mark appears in the lower right field, and the mint control symbol ΙΔΡ is inscribed in the exergue. The entire composition is enclosed within a beaded border.
