| Obverse description | Diademed head of the deified Alexander III (the Great) facing right, portrayed with the ram's horn of Ammon curling behind his ear, asserting his divine status as son of Zeus-Ammon. The effigy displays finely rendered flowing hair swept back from the forehead and gathered in characteristic Hellenistic style, with expressive facial features executed in high relief. A dotted border encircles the field. No legend appears on the obverse. |
