Reverse description Athena Nikephoros seated left on a throne, wearing a crested Attic helmet and holding a small Nike in her outstretched right hand, who crowns the royal name; a spear rests against her left shoulder and a large round shield decorated with a star or rosette device leans against the throne at her side. The two-line Greek legend ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ to the right and ΛΥΣΙΜΑΧΟΥ to the left flanks the central figure. A delta (Δ) control mark appears in the left field, and crossed torches serve as a mint symbol below the throne in the exergual area, identifying this issue to the Amphipolis mint. The composition is typical of the Lysimachan coinage and reflects the Hellenistic royal iconographic program.
