Obverse description Diademed head of the deified Alexander the Great facing right, portrayed in heroic style with flowing, tousled hair rendered in fine detail. A prominent ram's horn of Ammon curls forward above the ear, asserting Alexander's divine status as son of Zeus-Ammon. The portrait is executed in high relief with idealized Hellenistic features, including a strong brow, slightly parted lips, and a naturalistic treatment of the neck truncation. A dotted border frames the field at the coin's edge.
