| Obverse description | Diademed head of the deified Alexander the Great facing right, rendered in high relief with finely detailed flowing hair secured by a diadem. The small but unmistakable upward-curving horn of Ammon emerges just above the ear, asserting Alexander's divine status as son of Zeus-Ammon. The portrait exhibits the characteristic anastole hair sweep above the forehead and idealised Hellenistic facial features. The field is plain and the coin is bordered by a fine dotted border. |

To the inner left field, the forepart of a griffin facing left appears below a control monogram. The full royal legend ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΛΥΣΙΜΑΧΟΥ is disposed in two lines in the field. |
