Reverse description Athena Nikephoros seated left upon a throne, her left arm resting on a large round shield decorated with a gorgoneion, while a transverse spear leans in the background behind her. A winged Nike perches on Athena's outstretched right hand, crowning the legend to the left. The Greek legend ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ appears vertically to the right of the central type, and ΛΥΣΙΜΑΧΟΥ vertically to the left, together identifying the issuing monarch Lysimachos. A small ivy leaf appears in the inner left field, serving as a mint or die control mark.
