| Reverse description | Athena Nikephoros seated left upon a throne, wearing helmet and aegis, her left arm resting on a large round shield set beside her, with a transverse spear visible in the background field. She extends her right hand to receive a small Nike who crowns the legend to the left. The Greek legend ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ appears vertically to the right of the central type, and ΛΥΣΙΜΑΧΟΥ appears to the left, flanking the enthroned figure. A lion's head symbol and a monogram occupy the inner field, serving as mint control marks, while the letter K appears in the exergue below the groundline. The composition is executed in the refined Hellenistic die-cutting style associated with the royal mint at Lysimacheia. |
