| Obverse description | Diademed head of the deified Alexander the Great facing right, wearing the horn of Ammon curling behind his ear, rendered in the heroic Hellenistic style with flowing, elaborately chased hair. The portrait displays finely modeled facial features with a strong profile, the diadem tied around the head with ends visible above the neck. A dotted border frames the design near the coin's edge. The high-relief engraving reflects the accomplished die-cutting tradition of the Lysimachean mint. |
