Obverse description Diademed head of the deified Alexander the Great facing right, rendered in the idealized Hellenistic portrait style. The hair is shown in thick, flowing locks swept upward and back, secured by a royal diadem. A small curving horn of Ammon projects from above the ear, signifying Alexander's divine association with the Egyptian god. The facial features display the characteristic upward gaze and slightly parted lips of the Alexander portrait tradition. The design is surrounded by a dotted border.
