| Obverse description | Diademed head of the deified Alexander the Great facing right, rendered in the Hellenistic portrait tradition, with the distinctive horn of Ammon curving subtly over his right ear, signifying his divine descent from Zeus-Ammon. The portrait exhibits refined die-cutting characteristic of the Ainos mint, with idealised facial features and a flowing diadem. The field is plain. |

To the outer left field, a filleted thyrsos stands vertically; to the inner left, a cult statue is depicted seated upon a throne. The royal legend ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΛΥΣΙΜΑΧΟΥ is disposed in two lines framing the central type. |
