Reverse description A forepart of a bull kneeling to the right, with head turned to face the viewer, depicted in three-quarter view with careful anatomical rendering of the muscular neck, decorated collar, and curved horns. To the left of the bull stands an olive branch with elongated leaves and fruit, a civic symbol closely associated with the island of Samos. The magistrate's name ΛΟΧΙΤΗΣ is inscribed in Greek letters across the upper field, while the abbreviated ethnic ΣΑ appears in the lower right field below the bull's forelegs. The composition is well-balanced within the coin's flan, displaying the accomplished die-work characteristic of Samian coinage of this period.
