| Obverse description | Draped bust of Artemis facing right, her hair elaborately coiffed and bound, with a quiver and bow visible over her left shoulder. The goddess is rendered in the Hellenistic style, with finely modelled facial features, a graceful neckline, and drapery indicated at the truncation. The flowing locks of hair fall in braided tresses behind the neck, characteristic of late Hellenistic engraving conventions of the eastern Aegean region. |
