| Reverse description | Lion standing left with head turned back to the right in the characteristic Milesian type, rendered with careful attention to musculature and mane detail. A six-pointed star appears in the upper field above the lion's back. The civic monogram MI is positioned to the left of the lion in the field. In the exergue below the ground line, the magistrate's name ΛHNAIOΣ (Lenaios) is inscribed in Greek letters, identifying this issue within the civic coinage series of Miletos. |
