| Obverse description | Youthful head of Heracles in right profile, wearing the Nemean lion scalp as headdress, the lion's jaws framing the brow and the paws knotted at the neck. The portrait is rendered in the idealised Lysippan tradition, with finely detailed curling hair visible beneath the pelt and strong, clean facial features characteristic of posthumous Alexandrine coinage. The entire design is enclosed within a beaded border. |

| Reverse description | Zeus Aëtophoros enthroned left upon a backless throne, his right arm extended to support an eagle with closed wings, his left hand firmly grasping a long sceptre. In the left field, the control mark ΠO appears above a sphinx seated left atop a horizontal amphora, the whole constituting the civic badge of Chios. The magistrate's name ΚΡΑΤΩΝ appears in the exergue, and the royal legend ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ runs along the right field. |
