| Obverse description | Laureate head of Zeus facing right, rendered in the Hellenistic tradition with deeply modelled, flowing locks of hair and a full beard. The laurel wreath is boldly struck with prominent leaves and berries visible atop the cranium. The portrait displays strong, expressive facial features characteristic of late Hellenistic civic coinage from Asia Minor. The field is plain, and the coin is bordered by a dotted bead-and-reel inner circle. |

| Reverse description | An eagle with closed wings stands to the left upon an unidentified base or ground line, its head turned forward in a dignified pose. Before the eagle stands the iconic cult statue of Artemis Ephesia, depicted frontally with multiple supports flanking her sides, faithfully reproducing the famous xoanon of Ephesus. The entire design is framed within a decorative maeander (Greek key) border pattern. The Greek legend identifying the city and the issuing magistrates appears in the field, distributed around the central devices. |
